Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge

Bring your camera, it’s imperative that you remember this place! This distinctive floating bridge is located over Santa Ana Bay, and serves to connect the districts of Punta and Otrobanda. Because it is used as much by local residents as by tourists, there is a ferry that is available to carry people when the bridge opens up to allow ships to pass through. As a curious fact, from 1901 to 1934, this bridge was a toll bridge, but people who crossed it barefoot did not have to pay toll.
