The vision of Jacob Gelt Dekker, Kura Hulanda Museum is an anthropological center which is focused on the predominant cultures of Curaçao and collects historic artifacts belonging to its culture and history. On your visit, you will learn the origin of the name, the Exchange of African slaves, the African empires of the west, pre-Colombian gold, Mesopotamian relics and Antillian art. Kura Hulanda Museum is located on the glorious Santa Ana Bay in the center of Willemstad and is composed of 15 buildings covering more than 15,000 square feet.
